A message from Co-Founder Robert Bovill

 

In a world that is abusing its natural resources, our business is a natural and sustainable method of farming Black Tiger Shrimp. We’re not building new ponds and hoping our first harvest will be bountiful. Our ponds have been producing for over a hundred years. We have partnered with a family run organic farming consortium that has already been doing this for generations. MY TIGER SHRIMP LLC will help these local organic farmers improve their lives by bringing them more outlets for their incredible product, delicious sushi grade, Black Tiger Shrimp, or what some of us call, our “Tigers”.

Not only is our operation good for the planet, but it also creates jobs for the local farmers and harvesters and processors and packers. To fulfil our mission, we need a small start-up capital infusion to open offices in Mumbai and San Francisco, and to build the sales and management team in India that will build an international customer base that will last indefinitely. This is using American ingenuity and the understanding that we should support the small organic farms that are trying to survive in this brutal corporate environment.
I’ve had an interesting life from traveling around the world for a year at 20 to working as a model builder on Star Wars “Return of the Jedi”, and writing my novel “The House of Pearl”. Before I die, I would like to start something beneficial for the planet, with a positive legacy that I can leave to my children and make my family proud of me. As part of this legacy, MY TIGER SHRIMP LLC will be donating a percentage of our profits to support educational efforts to help the world population realize that the current trend of food consumption is not sustainable.
